Budget Day is tomorrow: Avoid publishing newsroom products between 3:30-4:30 p.m. on March 28

Federal-Provincial-Territorial meeting: Agenda was Web governance models - approaches, lessons learned and processes

Morning web priorities meetings:

  • Wednesday – discussing next steps for the EasyRetro exercise on ways to bridge gaps between different groups creating web content
  • Thursday – governance

Web Executive Board meeting:

  • David Pepin presented the ChatGPT session that he presented at GCWP earlier this month
  • Review of governance for Canada.ca discussion with follow-up questionnaire sent to gather additional feedback

NOTE: This Wednesday’s GCWP meeting is canceled

  • TBS launching the Digital privacy playbook today (a guide that summarizes privacy guidance for project managers https://www.canada.ca/en/government/system/digital-government/digital-privacy-playbook.html)
  • Hybrid work in the public service topic page is now live https://www.canada.ca/en/government/publicservice/modernizing/hybrid-work.html
  • Stephan Villeneuve (ECCC) hoping to prepare for plain language requirements (Laura to reach out to Nancy at SSC)
  • Applications for One-time top-up to the Canada Housing Benefit closing this Friday (CRA key contact: Paul Psutka)

  • Data visualization and maps discussion
    • Working with mobile view is a challenge
    • Ways of doing accessible data visualizations are needed
    • Are maps out of scope for accessibility?
    • PHAC uses a lot of interactive maps, but has only very basic documentation:

Action: We will reach out to members who have said they have some experience to share and coordinate a future GCWP meeting that can focus on further discussions about this
