First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people face a number of barriers when navigating the governmental systems. Indigenous Services Canada's Strategic Plan 2020-2025 makes a commitment to implementing key actions from the Many Voices One Mind (MVOM) report. One of the five areas of focus in the MVOM report involves addressing Indigenous employees' training, development, and career advancement concerns. Moreover, the strategic plan also aims to increase the proportion of the ISC workforce made up of Indigenous employees.


The living books and mentorship opportunities facilitated by the Indigenous Employee Secretariat can help support the success of indigenous employees throughout the department.


We invite First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people to explore this tool and reach out with any questions or concerns.
