Notes and action items

TBS DTO

  • New DTO blog post:The importance of working with call centres” went live this morning.
    • In the post, we talked about the work we did with Service Canada to reduce the number of calls to call centres and inboxes.
  • Priorities of the week: Continuing work on Travel and Vaccines
    • Vaccines: Banded topic page went live on Friday. We will be updating the GCWP group on the research at the Wednesday meeting.
  • FPT meeting tomorrow. Agenda:
    • Banded topic page
    • Discussion items:
      • Preparing for 3rd wave?
      • Are PTs working with local health authorities web teams? E.g. Appointment bookings, research
    • Cross-linkages. If you have anything you want to discuss, please let us know.

HC PHAC

  • Travel wizard updates
    • We are middle in sending an update to GAC about the Travel answer keys regarding the latest OICs
    • Mandatory Hotel - constant and daily updates. DTO prototyped it but they don’t have the bandwidth to implement changes
  • Two email notifications going out this week about non-medical masks and mental health
  • Moving up the links to new FAQs about Hotel stays as it’s not in the content. Once it is in the content, they will take away the FAQ.
  • 70% of views yesterday were mobile.
  • Vaccines banded topic page went live last Friday. Already seeing some big changes.
    • The top link “Where can you get vaccinated” is showing people clicking through to Provinces and Territories.
    • Also fewer people are providing feedback about finding information for where they can get vaccinated.
    • This week, they move to the second part which is to create a page about the second part of the process of “Getting vaccinated”
  • AstraZeneca vaccine was approved on Friday. NACI updates should follow today and tomorrow.

PCO

  • Nothing to report today.

PP

  • No updates. Simon Cossette’s first day replacing Debbie Laurin.

Finance:

  • Add some language regarding T4/Benefits based on feedback.

CRA/Taxes:

  • Looking for Rent Subsidy/CEWS information.
  • Point to Finance around Rent subsidy and WAGE subsidy.
  • One week into tax filing season.
    • Seeing a lot of interest through page feedback tool and call centre around boxes on the bottom of T4, so adding some content about that.
  • Looking to optimize payment content next.

ESDC:

  • New vanity url was created for hotel stayover page because of last week’s increase in calls (over 23K) due to the mandatory hotel stays.
  • Added an alert box on EI and Self-employed page.

PS:

  • Updating language around payment scams on the COVID-19 frauds and scams page.
  • Launched some marketings campaigns around human trafficking and cyberbullying

PSPC

  • Updated vaccines procurement page based on AstraZeneca announcement last week.

CFIA

  • Working on the canada.ca domain change and hope to get it done by mid-March.

TBS

  • Updating Phoenix damages content.

CSPS

  • Looking for what people use for newsletters other than MailChimp.

Corrections

  • Went live on Friday with outbreak tables. They need to be linked in other places but they haven’t gotten that far yet.

At Wednesday’s GCWP meeting, we will be talking about research on the banded topic page for vaccines. If there is anything you would like to add to the agenda, please let M-R know.
