TBS DTO

  • Blog post went live yesterday “3 ways to make links more effective”. Please read and share with your colleagues.
    • It is also posted in the amplification channel on Slack.
  • DTO Newsletter and Web Managers email going out next week
  • GC Design System project had the kick off meeting this morning
    • Joint project with DTO, CDS and PP that aims to improve how the design system works for everybody
  • FPT meeting yesterday:
    • Talked about forward planning
    • Many of the provinces and territories are doing recovery planning
    • Issues brought up around ROT for pandemic content and broken links
    • Further discussion around microsites
  • GC Task Success Survey - there are some gaps. Peter will be reaching out to 10 departments this week.
    • More information on the results and rollout will be coming in weeks and months.

HC PHAC

Travel

  • A lot of updates in the background based on the changes that are coming into play on August 9th
  • There will be some big shifts in how information is organized
  • Data is driving optimization efforts

Vaccines

  • HTML is up for NACI update
  • Reorganizing vaccine landing page
  • Adding vaccine numbers to it too
  • Developing new content for upcoming marketing campaigns
    • Parents of children 12-17, to get their kids vaccinated

Overall

  • Identifying trends and user needs for digital strategy for recovery
  • Meeting this afternoon
  • Will share details with broader group next week

PCO

  • Looking for Canada.ca Promotional features. Moving away from purely COVID promos.
  • Principal Publisher form is on GCPedia with instructions on how to do it.
  • Please reach out if you have any questions about promos.

PP

  • No updates
  1. Ministerial Profile Templates - David Pepin (DTO)
  • A few weeks ago, we mentioned removing them. We did an audit of the ministerial profiles. Many are duplicates of what is on the PM site. Looking at finding ways to make it easier for people to follow.
    • Out of more than 100 individuals who could use this template, only 10 are following it the way it is built. This tells us there is an issue.
  • In the coming weeks, we will be prototyping to make it simpler, e.g. removing the Twitter feed.
  • If you know of any issues before we prototype, please let us know by reaching out in Slack/email.

M-R will be on vacation for the next three weeks. Peter Smith will be leading the meetings.
