How to Create a Data Community of Practice Brainstorm Ideas • How big do you want you data CoP to be? • How often would you like to meet? • What would you like to do when your data CoP meets? • Set up terms of reference to guide the CoP. Set a Date and send out invitations • Check all important attendees calendars and set a date that works for them. • Draft an invitation that includes all the important information about your community of practice and invite everyone you think may be interested in participating. Coordinate Content • Reach out to potential presenters and help them to coordinate dynamic, informative presentations. Engage with community members • Establish a way for participants to propose presentation topics. • Create a forum for participants to discuss CoP meetings and share resources.
