Digital Transformation Office (DTO)

  • Blog post and research summary coming out soon about Wayfinding project, outlining the approach we’re taking for making Canada.ca navigation changes

COVID

  • May have two possible authorizations this week for boosters, have National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) recommendations for this which are tentatively planned for December 9
  • Winding down reporting for small and medium businesses
    • Shoppers Drug Mart is no longer distributing test kits to them, working on plans to wind down distribution for the provinces as well

MPOX/Ebola

  • MPOX is the new name for Monkey pox and the banners are being renamed on various pages, also working on public-facing web content
  • Preventing respiratory virus pages being worked on
  • Survey on vaccination and pregnancy will be released soon
  • Ebola disease caused by the Sudan virus is in the works and hoping to go live with that soon
  • Water monitoring pages being worked on with Health Canada and Environment Canada, critical path is being developed
  • Updating Mental Health Kit to streamline and optimize content

  • Accessibility plans have gone live for ESDC, Canadian Heritage has also launched their plan, curious who else has launched theirs

Benefits and Jobs - ESDC

  • Launched the Accessibility plan on December 1
  • Added the dental benefits to the Benefits finder and Family and caregiving benefits topic page

General discussion

  • Discussion about how different departments are approaching Return to the Office for fully digital teams - many departments are finding that working in and recruiting for digital roles works better with a primarily remote work arrangement
