Jeff Ball is the Director of Data Governance and Open Government at the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Jeff has spent the last 18 years working in various roles within the Information Management community including as Director of Open Government at the Treasury Board Secretariat of Canada and as Director of the Information Management Branch and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. A passionate advocate for the benefits of Open Government and the value of Information Management services, Jeff has been working on creating an open government and data governance branch to help enhance the strategic and responsible collection, use and release of information and data in policing to help enhance trust and accountability.
