How to use Accelerators to Drive Innovation in the Public Service	The accelerator community, though dispersed, is growing and driving innovation worldwide. While their meaning, impact and value have yet to be fully realized, accelerators are a valuable asset. Though accelerators have largely been associated with start-ups and the private sector, the public service is tapping into their benefits and seeing positive results. There are a variety of accelerators that offer short-term programs that provide hands-on learning experiences with mentorship and coaching, to promote growth and develop new skills. They are opening up new opportunities for governments and businesses to innovate, disrupt, transform and build support, relationships and networks, as well as bolster economic growth and prosperity. Moving Quantum Computing from Theory to Practice	Quantum computing is a disruptive technology that has the potential to revolutionize government, security, and the workings of society. It is estimated that the global market for quantum computing hardware will exceed $7.1 billion by 2026. This event builds on our popular introduction to the quantum computing event held on February 5, 2021, and the relevance of this fascinating topic to the Government of Canada. The first half of the event will explore the practical uses of quantum computers as well as some of the innovative projects being developed in this area.
