DEMYSTIFYING OFFICIAL LANGUAGES
The purpose of this vignette is to clarify and explain certain concepts, articles, mechanisms and roles related to official languages. In this first issue, we suggest comparing the roles and responsibilities of the key actors who have a role to play in matters of official languages in federal institutions – namely, the Persons Responsible for Official Languages (PROLs), the Coordinators responsible for the implementation of section 41 of the Official Languages Act, and the Official Languages Champions.
