THE FORUM

From February 6 to 10, 2023, take part in the Best Practices Forum on Official Languages!

Official languages are sometimes considered a barrier to employment and career advancement for members of certain equity-seeking groups. The modernization of the Official Languages Act is an opportunity for the Government of Canada to challenge and change the discourse on diversity, inclusion and official languages. From February 6 to 10, 2023, take part in the Best Practices Forum on Official Languages! This event will bring together speakers from the public service and private sector to discuss measures to address the challenges faced by equity-seeking groups and to support their career progression. With different objectives in mind, these individuals will share their experiences and talk about how they are helping to change the narrative on diversity, inclusion and official languages. Participants will learn how official languages can be used to promote bilingualism, diversity and inclusion in Canada.

During this event, you will have the opportunity to visit virtual booths, hear inspiring speakers on a range of current issues on official languages, take part in practical workshops offered by various federal institutions, share innovative best practices and enjoy virtual networking opportunities. Don't miss this flagship event that brings together the entire official languages community and is open to all public service employees, organized by Canadian Heritage, the Council of the Network of Official Languages Champions and the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, in collaboration with the Canada School of Public Service.
