Michelle is the Justice Canada business lead of a partnership with IRCC to pilot an AI powered legal technology tool for immigration law. She is also a member of the Law Commission of Ontario’s AI Advisory Panel supporting its Digital Rights Project. Michelle started her career in private practice and has previously advised the departments of (then) Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada. Technology law and digital law have been a focus of Michelle’s practice for over twenty years. Michelle has been a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada since 1994 and a member of the Law Society of Manitoba since 1989.
