The Panel Pledge Working Group (PPWG) is a grassroots effort led by numerous Government of Canada (GC) networks and interested public servants looking to advance inclusivity and diversity within the public sector, while also promoting anti-Racism. It aims to increase the representation of: • Women • Indigenous Employees • Black Employees • Racialized Employees • Disabled Employees and • 2SLGBTQIA+ Employees In all their intersectionality, at all GC events at all levels (local, regional and national). To do so, the PPWG has adapted the Panel Pledge, a commitment taken by public sector panelists, facilitators and event organizers to affirm their commitment to diversity, inclusivity and anti-Racism. Upholders of the Pledge will ensure they only support events whose speakers, moderators and facilitators are representative of the true diversity of Canada.

This grassroots effort is in response to the Clerk’s Call to Action on Anti-Racism, Equity, and Inclusion and in support of the areas of focus of Beyond 2020 to promote the representation of systemically marginalized groups.
