Neurodiversity resources

Infinity helps connect neurodivergent employees in Canada's federal public service with tools, resources, and information to help them more effectively navigate the workplace. Whether you are navigating the accommodation process, seeking peer support, or exploring new ways to thrive in your role, a number of Government of Canada-wide resources exist to support you.

Infinity Help Hub

The Infinity Help Hub (accessible only on the Government of Canada network) is a virtual resource library hosted on Infinity's GCxchange platform. It offers curated tools, templates, and guidance designed specifically to help neurodivergent public servants succeed in various aspects of work and life.

Topics include:

  • Understanding and requesting accommodations
  • Building connections with other neurodivergent colleagues
  • Digital tools that support executive functioning and productivity
  • Strategies for job seekers navigating federal hiring
  • Resources for second-language learning
  • Supporting mental health and well-being

Better Accommodations Project (BAP) toolkit

The Better Accommodation Program (BAP) toolkit (accessible only on the Government of Canada network), led by the Deputy Minister Champion for Federal Employees with Disabilities offers both organizations and individuals with useful guidance on navigating the workplace accommodation process. These toolkits have been co-designed with several departments and with the participation of federal employees with disabilities and those who are neurodivergent.

The BAP toolkit supports both organizations and individuals in improving workplace accommodation processes. It includes two tailored toolkits: one for organizations and one for service users. The organizational toolkit helps orhamozatopms assess and enhance their department’s accommodation service model using tools like a self-assessment, guidance on key success factors, and performance tracking. The service user toolkit provides employees and managers with practical tips, checklists, and behaviour guides to navigate the accommodation journey effectively. Each toolkit links to related resources for deeper understanding. Users are encouraged to start with the toolkit most relevant to their role.

GC Workplace Accessibility Passport

The GC Workplace Accessibility Passport is a tool to help federal public servants identify and communicate the barriers they experience and the solutions that work for them.

The Passport is intended to support ongoing conversations between employees and managers about the accommodations they need to do their work effectively. It is especially useful for employees who move between roles, locations, or departments, helping to reduce the need to restart the accommodation process each time.

Additional tools and implementation guidance are available through the GC Workplace Accessibility Passport Hub on GCpedia (Government of Canada network only). The Hub includes templates, examples, and departmental best practices.

Accessibility, Accommodation and Adaptive Computer Technology (AAACT)

The Accessibility, Accommodation and Adaptive Computer Technology (AAACT) program, managed by Shared Services Canada, offers personalized support to help remove or reduce barriers for employees with disabilities and functional limitations in the digital workplace.

The program provides assessments, expert advice, assistive technologies, and training tailored to individual needs. Examples include screen readers, voice recognition software, ergonomic equipment, and adaptive keyboards. AAACT also offers guidance to managers and teams on how to integrate adaptive technologies and accessible practices into everyday work.
