Judy Booth Award of Excellence in Access to Information and Privacy Act
This award recognizes an individual for outstanding achievement in access to information and privacy (ATIP) in the Government of Canada. |
⭐ Criteria
- Criterion 1: Supports the continued growth and improvement of colleagues in the ATIP community.
- Criterion 2: Demonstrates a passion for service delivery in ATIP requests.
- Criterion 3: Innovates to improve a digital or in-person ATIP service.
- Criterion 4: Improves service delivery, transparency and collaboration related to ATIP requests in the Government of Canada.

⭐ Nomination process
- Complete the 2025 Judy Booth Award for Excellence Nomination Form.
- In the boxes provided for each criterion, provide concrete examples that demonstrate how the nominee(s) meets the criterion. The nominee(s) must meet all criteria.
- Note that the selection committee does not take into consideration any elements extraneous to the information provided in the nomination text.
- Obtain one signed email / letter of support from a peer or senior leadership.
- Send the complete nomination package to the APCDO team.
Eligibility
- The awards are open to public servants working in the Government of Canada.
- Nominees must have been public servants at any point during the 2023 to 2025 fiscal years. (April 2023 to March 2025)
- Team nominations may include members from several Government of Canada organizations. Teams must not exceed 15 individuals.
Who can submit a nomination?
- Any Government of Canada employee may submit a nomination.
- Each individual or team nomination must be endorsed by a peer or a senior leadership before being submitted.
- Nomination forms that are missing required information will not be evaluated, and the selection committee will not look at additional documents or information.
- To be considered, nominations must meet all of the criteria.
To submit a nomination
- Read the criteria for each award and the evaluation guidelines.
- Nominations must meet all criteria to be selected.
- Complete the nomination form.
- Submit the completed nomination package to the awards team at OCIO-APCDO-BDPI-BPCAP@tbs-sct.gc.ca.
