Joining the Public Service of Canada, Sonia has practiced law in the private sector, where her skills and ability to see diverse points of view have helped her achieve results in even the most difficult cases. As a litigator and mediator with over 25 years of experience, she believes that even the most difficult experiences have something good to offer. Having a new perspective and looking for the opportunities for learning and growth that a situation offers allows us to redirect our energy and see the benefits of a solution even if it was not what we expected or wanted. She translates this into her work by inviting clients to question their assumptions, broaden their perspectives and explore new approaches.
