|Andrew Fitzgerald (he/him) is a Free Agent at Natural Resources Canada and currently on assignment with the RPAS Task Force at Transport Canada. He has previously held roles in Human Resources, Labour Relations and Taxpayer Services at the Canada Revenue Agency in St. John's, NL and Vancouver, BC. During that time, he was active on the steering committees of the NLYPN, and represented NL on the Atlantic Canadian YPN. Prior to joining the public service, he worked as a copywriter and arts administrator in St. John's. Andrew is a classically trained violinist and singer, and recently joined the roster of the Canadian Chamber Choir. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Memorial University of Newfoundland and is pursuing a Master of Science in Psychology at the University of Exeter in the UK. He currently calls Saskatoon home and is honoured to live and work on Treaty 6 territory.

In his current role as the Director of the Strategic Planning Division in the Human Resources Branch of CRA, Jason leads a team dedicated to understanding, analyzing, and communicating CRA’s people management performance story – where we have been, where we are, and where we want to go. They work to accurately report on the now, while equipping others to better plan for the future.

Prior to that, he led a multi-disciplinary team of researchers, human-centred designers, behavioural scientists, and policy analysts at TBS-OCHRO to drive experimentation, innovation, and research in HR.  Jason also held a variety of positions at the Public Health Agency of Canada and at the Canada Revenue Agency, leading teams focused on data science, strategy, and partnerships.  He remains passionate about all things data and hopes to continue to increase data literacy and the use of evidence for decision making across the public service.

|Sarah Paquet was appointed Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC) on November 18, 2020. As the head of Canada’s financial intelligence unit and anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing regulator, she is responsible for ensuring the Centre facilitates the detection, prevention and deterrence of money laundering, terrorist activity financing and threats to the security of Canada. In addition to leading FINTRAC, Ms. Paquet is the Chair of the Egmont Information Exchange Working Group, which is focused on improving information sharing among the world’s financial intelligence units.

Before joining FINTRAC, Ms. Paquet held numerous leadership positions across the federal public service over the past 20 years. From 2018 to 2020, she served as the first Executive Vice-President at Shared Services Canada, providing leadership to the organization as it modernized the Government of Canada enterprise IT infrastructure and enabled digital services to Canadians.

Previously, he worked in Open Government, TBS, and has worked with the Privy Council Office, Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), Labour Program, and Canada Border Services Agency.
