What is the Technology pillar?

The technology pillar is one of the 6 pillars of the ISED Data Strategy. The proper tools to collect, manage, store and analyze data must be in place to support the optimization of data. Creating this enabling environment means determining the technology requirements and establishing the technology strategy that supports the departmental Data Strategy. In doing so, ISED internal technology will keep pace with innovation and have the structure in place to evaluate and adopt new generation technology, with new technology use on demand.

Initiatives of Technology

Technology requirements:

Working collaboratively with the CIO, assess current technological requirements, including identifying and rendering available analytics software across ISED. This includes publishing a list of ISED tools and tech and creating an analytics “sandbox” that allows data scientists across ISED a place to experiment.

Client Relationship Management (CRM):

Supporting the CIO on the development of the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system that aligns with Data Standards and the Common Business Profile.
