The Canada School of Public Service is exploring ways to get insights from the world, applied for public service. This work is encouraging more, easier, light-touch exchange of people inside and outside the Government of Canada.

The first proposed pilot is the Paper Plane Exchange, which helps facilitate light-touch agreements for experiential learning. (Imagine going to another organization's workplace for a few days or weeks, instead of going to a conference or a classroom.)

Other draft work focuses on:

  • Welcome & Care / Digital DNA (to be renamed). Focuses on creating human-to-human welcome for civil servants and others engaged in exchange.
  • Externship, for longer-term work exchanges.
