Next Generation HR and Pay Digital User Expo

The Next Generation (NextGen) HR and Pay Initiative was established to explore a future HR and pay solution for the Government of Canada (GC). This solution will be driven by the GC’s business needs, including user needs across Canada, and modern people management processes.

The NextGen team is hosting a series of engagement sessions, both online and in-person, in order to raise awareness on our work, receive feedback on possible solutions, and conduct user research that will inform future work on GC business processes.

We're Listening

To ensure the user is and remains at the centre of this process, engagement is built-in and includes employees, managers, HR and financial practitioners, and bargaining agents. A series of engagements across Canada have allowed the Next Generation (NextGen) HR and Pay Team to gather feedback and create an open and transparent dialogue on the Initiative.

Engagement to date has included a series of workshops with HR practitioners in September and October, as well as recent User Expos with public servants from across the country from January to February. The response to date has been promising and has allowed our Team to leverage feedback, lessons learned, and best practices as part of our agile approach.

This is your opportunity to get involved in the future of HR and pay for the federal public service!
