1. How do I apply?

Answer: In order to apply to Careers in Data science process, you will need to create an account on the GC Jobs platform at the following link: https://www.canada.ca/en/public-service-commission/jobs/services/gc-jobs.html.

I have a degree from a university outside Canada, am I eligible to apply?

Answer: Yes. If you graduated outside of Canada, make sure you have your Education Equivalency before the testing period starts. 2. I have a student visa or work permit in Canada, am eligible to apply?

Answer: Yes, but preference will be given to Canadian veterans, Canadian citizens and permanent residents who meet job opportunity requirements.

3. I am not bilingual (English and French), do I still have a chance of obtaining a job offer?

Answer: Yes. Bilingualism requirements always depend on the type of work a position requires. Unilingual English and unilingual French positions exist in the Government of Canada. However, do be aware that for the Careers in Data Science process, proficiency in English is likely to be expected due to the nature of the work.

4. I am a person with a disability, will asking for accommodation have a negative impact on my chances of getting a job in the public service?

Answer: You have to right to request an accommodation if you require it at any point during the assessment process. Assessment accommodations do not alter the qualification being assessed nor the proficiency level required. They may, however, alter the way a qualification is assessed or the setting.

5. I have applied, but I have not receive any updates on my application. When will I be notified?
