Mandate

The mandate of the Audit, Evaluation and Risk Branch (AERB) is to support the achievement of the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) strategic goals by providing the Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer, Board and senior management with independent and objective information, advice and assurance on the soundness of the CRA management framework and on the effectiveness, efficiency and economy of its strategies, programs and practices.

Vision

AERB will be recognized for the high quality of its professional services in areas such as financial and risk management and control, performance information, and management accountability. It will be a leader in the audit and evaluation community, and recognized as an innovator in the delivery of its services and in the management of its operations.

What we do

Internal audit and program evaluation reports The CRA's internal audit and program evaluation functions support the achievement of the CRA's strategic goals by providing independent and objective information, advice, and assurance on the soundness of the Agency's operations.

The results of the CRA's audits and evaluations are posted on canada.ca to promote public accountability and transparency.
