As part of the 2025 Official Languages Symposium, several virtual workshops and information sessions on various topics related to official languages will be offered on Tuesday, November 18, and Friday, November 21. All federal public servants are invited to participate.

The team will also present an overview of the training they offer on Part VII, as well as a preview of a SharePoint collaborative space, currently under development and designed for Health Canada employees, which will be dedicated to Part VII of the OLA. This tool was designed to assess an organizations readiness to fully integrate OL considerations (particularly those related to Official Language Minority Communities) into the entire cycle of Agency activities, as per the modernized Official Languages Act (OLA), and to identify the next steps in building our capacity to meet or exceed our OLA obligations. The tool is also based on the Official Languages Maturity Model developed by the Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages and is used to feed into our annual reporting on Official Languages.
