Virtual Training
To support rapid adoption of MS Teams during the COVID-19 crisis, Microsoft is hosting online training sessions in both English and French. The sessions are intended for for GC employees and aims to help with building the skills to support the adoption of Teams and M365. Topics to be covered will include:
- intro to Teams
- using Chat, Channels, Activity, Meetings
- coordination of meetings, activities and more
The sessions will be offered in two formats, pre-recorded and live. However, both feature live moderation to answer your questions in real-time. Find a date and time below that works for you.
Virtual Learning Events
Session 1: Microsoft Teams Best Practices for Managers and Future Leaders – May 18th
Moderated by the “Clicks and Tips” founder, Roy Nader, and in partnership with the National Managers' Community, this reverse mentoring session will focus on leveraging Microsoft Teams for managers and future leaders. We will focus on combining a few “clicks and tips” to achieve tasks more efficiently while adding some emotional intelligence. We will also discuss the PASS strategy among other things.
The session will feature a senior leader (TBC) who will share their challenges with managing in the current virtual environment. After, Roy will demonstrate key functionalities in MS Teams that can help us all reduce stress and gain new tips to utilize technology. Participants will also get a chance to share their challenges and ask questions.

Session 2: Technology is changing fast? You are not alone! Join “Clicks and Tips” for an open discussion – May 19th
Moderated by the “Clicks and Tips” founder, Roy Nader, this session will allow you to fully engage with Government of Canada Senior Leaders (TBC) sharing their stories, challenges, and lessons learned.
During the open panel discussion, the Senior Leaders will respond directly to your questions. This will be a valuable opportunity to share and learn about technology from each other.

Live Training Sessions
Hosted by Microsoft, these sessions are delivered by both online moderators and a team responding to questions received via chat in real-time throughout the lesson. Up to 10,000 participants can join per session but NO registration is required. All sessions are 60 minutes unless otherwise indicated. Please remember to stay off the VPN and join using your personal device. Note the session will be recorded and your name and/or phone number will be visible during the call to other participants who attend.
