<p class="highlighted inline">The Internet of Things (IoT) market has grown tremendously over the past two decades.</p><p class="inline mw-collapsible-content"> In 2018, total global spending on smart devices and services is expected to reach $3.7 trillion alone.</p><p class="highlighted inline"> The general prediction is that there will be 200 billion connected objects by 2020 (26 connected things per human being on earth). This is a great leap forward from the mere 2 billion IoT objects in 2006, and 15 billion in 2015.</p>
