The committee is comprised of several different roles, including the National Chair, the National Coordinator, Military Co-Chairs, Student Co-Chairs, Civilian Co-Chairs, and Divisional Volunteers. All positions are open to anyone within the Department of National Defence who wishes to apply. Positions not filled by permanent staff will be open to students, at the discretion of the National Coordinator.

Welcome to the Defence Team Young Professionals Network (DTYPN) GCwiki Page!

The Defence Team Young Professionals Network's main objectives are to establish a community network and program that offers tools, resources, events, and learning opportunities for networking, leadership, and career development. The DTYPN's purpose is to facilitate the development of skills and abilities to advance the career objectives of young and new professionals in the Defence Team, to create a sense of community for new and young employees in the Defence Team, and to represent the perspectives and priorties of new and young professionals.

All interested persons are invited to provide an application package containing:

  • A short cover letter indicating the position being applied for, and resumé;
  • A short proposal (no more than two pages) detailing their top priorities for the DTYPN; and
  • A letter of support from their manager.
