Deputy Minister University Champion (DMUC) Initiative

Deputy Minister University Champions "Deputy Minister University Champions play a key role in Public Service Renewal.  They are responsible for building relations between the Public Service of Canada and the various universities in order to identify shared priorities, align and promote relevant research and build awareness of career opportunities in the public service." (link) Deputy Minister University Champion Initiative - CSPS (csps-efpc.gc.ca) Deputy Minister champions - Canada.ca Student Ambassador Eligibility The Student Ambassador must be a student of the university he/she represents. The student must have previous experience working for the Government of Canada (GoC). The student must meet the eligibility criteria of the Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP). be enrolled full-time in a high school, CEGEP, college or university; NOTE: must be a student of the university he/she represents. Be a full-time student during the upcoming school year; Be of the minimum age to work in the province or territory of hire. How it works You are hired by the DMUC department or agency (see list below). The Public Service Commission (PSC) provides training, job examples and outreach activities. Summary of duties and responsibilities As a Student Ambassador, you will act as a liaison between the Government of Canada and your university. Sous-ministres champions des relations universitaires « Les sous-ministres champions des relations universitaires sont des acteurs de premier plan dans le renouvellement de la fonction publique. Leur mandat consiste à bâtir les relations entre la fonction publique du Canada et les différentes universités, en vue de cerner les priorités conjointes, d'harmoniser et de promouvoir les travaux de recherche pertinents et de faire connaître les possibilités de carrière dans la fonction publique. » (lien) Initiative des sous-ministres champions des relations universitaires - EFPC (csps-efpc.gc.ca) Sous-ministres champions - Canada.ca Étudiant ambassadeur Admissibilité L'étudiant ambassadeur doit être étudiant de l'université qu'il représente. L'étudiant doit déjà avoir travaillé au Gouvernement du Canada (GdC). L'étudiant doit répondre aux critères d'admissibilité du Programme fédéral d'expérience de travail étudiant (PFETÉ). être inscrit à temps plein dans une école secondaire, un cégep, un collège ou une université; NOTE : doit être étudiant de l'université qu'il représente. être aux études à temps plein pendant la prochaine année scolaire; avoir l’âge minimum requis pour travailler dans la province ou le territoire d’embauche. Fonctionnement Vous êtes embauchés par le ministère ou l’agence du SMCRU (voir liste plus bas). La Comission de la fonction publique (CFP) assure la formation, fournit des exemples de tâches et activités de sensibilisation. Résumé des tâches et responsabilités En tant qu’ambassadeur étudiant, vous agirez comme agent de liaison entre le Gouvernement du Canada et votre université.
