GC Career Transitions Centre of Excellence
This initiative aims to foster a supportive, growth‑focused environment where employees can strengthen their career development skills and build confidence in navigating career transitions whether employees are navigating WFA situations or otherwise figuring out their next career steps.
Our goal is to reduce stress and uncertainty during periods of change by giving you the knowledge, skills, and support you need to move forward and finding your next role. This initiative is here to help you grow, feel supported, and take the next step in your career with confidence.

These sessions are open to all employees who may be affected by workforce adjustment in the public service, term contract reductions as well as anyone interested in refreshing or strengthening their career development skills. Everyone is welcome—no prior experience or specific role is required. |

We will be offering a variety of career development webinars and webcasts, including topics such as:

| How do I register for a webinar?
Registration links for all upcoming sessions will be posted on the Upcoming Sessions page. Simply visit the page, choose the sessions you’re interested in, and follow the registration instructions. |
| Will materials be available afterward?
Yes. All resources presented during the sessions—such as slides, templates, and reference materials—will be available on the resource page. |
| Will recordings of the sessions be available?
The sessions will be recorded and available on our YouTube Channel. For the best experience, we recommend attending live in order to engage with speakers and ask your questions. |
| Do I need manager approval to attend?
We do recommend that you get manager approval and block time in your calendar to dedicate to the sessions you wish to attend. Highlight to your manager that this is a FREE event and there is no travel required. Check with your manager to find out what rules are in place in your department for learning and development and talk to them about coding your time, if necessary. |
| Is there a cost to participate?
No. All sessions, materials, and recordings are provided at no cost to employees. |
