How did the Panel Pledge start?
Inspiration for the #GCPanelPledge comes predominantly from Chief Executive Women, Male Champions of Change, and Women’s Leadership Institute Australia- three organizations doing significant work to increase the representation of women in leadership roles in Australia. Since then, the Panel Pledge has grown, and is known by different names around the world.
What other organizations have taken the Panel Pledge?
Notable organizations that have taken a Panel Pledge or have committed to upholding its principles include the US National Institutes of Health, the United Nations Global Compact, the International Gender Champions, Champions for Change, Borrowell Inc., and more!
Who can take the #GCPanelPledge?
Anyone! Men taking the pledge can commit to not attending events without women present. Women can commit to not attending events with only male speakers. Organizations can pledge to not host forums without female participation and speakers.
