Established in 2000 from a fusion of regional manager communities across the federal government, a small national team was formed, with a presence throughout the country. The NMC supports continuous improvement and innovation in public sector management. We provide meaningful outreach and engagement opportunities, fostering a dynamic and inclusive managers’ community.

What does the NMC do for managers?

The NMC is a horizontal network that amplifies the voice and helps support the 40,000+ managers who strive to achieve excellence in the public service. As a community, we advocate for public service priorities and represent the needs and interests of managers to senior leaders and central agencies. We highlight the indispensable role managers play in advancing organizational objectives.

How does the NMC achieve this?

Fostering meaningful exchanges between public service managers and share various perspectives and best practices, the NMC hosts in-person and virtual events and activities across the country.

We provide networking, coaching and mentoring opportunities and pertinent resources to help support managers and aspiring managers.

The NMC is supported by a dedicated and broad governance structure by which the Community stays connected, remains relevant, and acts effectively in meeting the needs of public service managers.

How can the NMC collaborate with you?

Get involved! We are always looking for volunteers to help with our events and activities.

Part of a managers’ network within your organization? Reach out to find out how we can collaborate.

Are you a regional manager? Become a member of an NMC regional steering committee.
