Please note that the EOSD events are only open to students with disabilities registered to participate in the EOSD program. Register by completing the registration form.

Summer Events 2025

June 2025

Date Time (EST) Subjects
Monday, June 9 1pm to 2pm (both official languages) EOSD Summer Welcome Event

The first EOSD summer event where participants will:

  • meet the President of the Public Service Commission of Canada and the Deputy Minister Champion for Persons with Disabilities
  • meet with the Diversity & Inclusion Centre of Expertise team
  • learn about the different EOSD program components and how to make the most of them

Thursday, June 19 1pm to 2pm (both official languages) Let’s Talk About Accommodations & Neurodivergence

This event will be an opportunity to learn about the Lending Library (a program run by the Accessibility, Accommodation and Adaptive Computer Technology (AAACT) team) and the Infinity Network. Students will learn about accommodation support services, common accommodations and the support available for neurodiverse students.

Thursday, June 26 1pm to 2:30pm (both official languages) How to Apply to Government of Canada Jobs

Students will learn about opportunities with the federal government including the Federal Student Work Experience Program, general recruitment via GC Jobs, as well as tips and tricks to help them succeed in the assessment process.

Monday, July 21 1pm to 2:30pm (both official languages) Speed Mentorship Session

This event will use virtual breakout rooms to match students with mentors, who are current public servants with lived experience having a disability, in smaller group sessions. Students will have the time to ask questions and build personal connections.

1:30pm to 2:30pm (both official languages) EOSD summer event: Real Stories, Real Advice: Career Talks with Mentors

In this virtual session, students will hear directly from federal public servants who will share their career journeys, lived experiences with disability, and practical advice for navigating the workplace and planning for the future.
