INTRODUCTION/INTRODUCTION
The Transformation Office (TO) at Regulatory Operations and Enforcement Branch (ROEB) has virtual doors that are wide open to learning, changing and experimenting to improve our service delivery and operational efficiency. With the final Multi-Year Compliance and Enforcement Transformation and Build Back Better projects forging our path, TO has evolved — to drive digital and experimental transformation across ROEB programs. The Transformation Office is part of ROEB's Planning and Operations Directorate (POD) at Health Canada. It was created in January 2021.
Mission/Mandat
Our mission is to motivate, encourage, and inspire ROEB employees through leadership, education, and support on how to transform the way we deliver activities and services in an effective, efficient and sustainable manner. Our work supports ROEB's mission to be a compliance and enforcement leader that protects and informs Canadians of health risks associated with products, substances, and their environment
Vision/Vision
The Transformation Office is a place to dream big and be bold with transformation projects designed to make ROEB a place of excellence when it comes to compliance, enforcement, service delivery and operational efficiency. Our work supports ROEB's vision to be a world class compliance and enforcement organization.

- Workshops
- Design thinking workshops were held by the Transformation Office in early 2021.
- Learning Events
- Connector Manager: Held in March 2021, this virtual learning event discussed the critical role managers must play to develop and drive employee performance in today’s changing environment. The major shifts employees face and the resulting expectations for managers were also examined.
- Psychological Safety Webinar: This April 2021 learning event built on the Connector Manager session and emphasized using techniques to drive productivity and morale. Employees have more energy when working, better productivity and higher engagement when they work in a psychologically safe environment. This is an environment that encourages, recognizes and rewards individuals for the contributions and ideas by making individuals feel safe when taking interpersonal risks.
- Supporting Culture in the Future of Work: This October 2021 virtual learning session session explored the factors that shape culture and how the pandemic has changed the way we think about work. It broke down the concept of culture into three behaviours: values, mindsets and practices.
- To receive the PowerPoint presentations and other learning tools from these sessions, please contact the [Office].
