- Finalizing task for Gerry McGovern top task study which should be live tomorrow morning
- Link will be sent out to TMC to gather our view of the study
- Setting up some moderated accessibility testing with people using assistive technology for some of the tasks we have already tested
- Putting together our next DTO newsletter and web managers message
HC PHAC - Susan Harper
- Building a timeline about how HC/PHAC content has evolved. Focusing on milestones
- PCO is also building a timeline. They will share updates at a later date
Page success widget - Penny Day
- Page success widget launched on May 11th (Symptoms and Prevention pages)
- Text “Report a problem” has been replaced with “Did you find what you are looking for
- May 11th - 149 messages for the two pages over 24 hours
- 103 were from symptoms pages. 101 English.
- Most common response - “the answer I need is missing,” but it is the first one in the list
- Prevention page - people are asking questions about face masks, travel to cottages, spreading infections, etc.
- So far, not receiving any inappropriate comments
- Volume is much higher than anticipated and these aren’t even the highest traffic pages
- Will eventually be moving to a datastore model instead of email model
- Mix of qualitative and quantitative answers
- In the process of figuring out next steps
2. Discussion around planning for the next phase
- Thinking about content coming for re-opening phase
- A lot will be updating existing content but there will be new content as well
- Considerations based on lessons learned:
- increase alignment with strat comms about messagings and content gaps to help us get ahead of the curve instead of being reactionary
- increase alignment with programs
- develop integrated report with performance measurement
- optimizing space for incoming content and updates
- defining processes for whole of government approach to content
- update digital strategy that they shared early on
- streamline linking structure on landing page
- stabilize architecture
- improve access to federal/provincial territorial content
- prioritize content updates
- continue great work we have been doing with our partners about optimization and rapid testing
3. Roundtable discussion
Policing Justice and Emergency Theme (Heather O’Connell and Stephane Bachand)
- Two pages they manage are live and now connected to the COVID-19 landing page
- They will be analyzing the pages and figuring out next steps
- Reaching out to Money and Finance theme about fraud content
- Public Safety has been granted authority to do public alerting. No indication that we need this but setting it up as a precaution in case the need arises
- More on this has been added to forward agenda
Global Affairs Canada - Dimitrios Samis
- Travel section was supposed to be live but some additional work is needed
- Mental Health section for people who need help abroad will be added on Safety and Security page
- Will go live soon
CRA - Natasha Pecarski
- CESB Student Benefit went live this morning - in the midst of updating the alerts
- Looking at creating new chatbot on CERB and Student Benefit
CDS - Yael Berger
- Find Financial Help during covid-19 - individual finder launched on Monday
- 14,842 unique visitors which lead to 100,000 views
- 4,000 clicked on results page
- 130 pieces of actionable feedback on the bottom about students, seniors, and people with disabilities
- News release is going out late this week/early next week along with Student Benefit Portal
Public Safety and Military theme - TBS - Veronique Gauvreau
- Wrapping up UX testing
- Phase 1 content will be online sometime next week
- Phase 2 - return to the workplace for Public service
DND - Dan Bedford
- Working on Military response page and updating numbers
ISC/CIRNAC - Sean McKibbon
- Working with CRA on a page of scenarios illustrating how Indigenous families and individuals can avail themselves of various supports and illustrate what they might be eligible for
- Will start publishing weekly Epi curve charts which show new cases in indigenous communities
- Working with DTO to do usability testing on key pages
- One of the main findings has been that Indigenous people often go to the main Canada.ca page or Health Canada and PHAC pages first
