Background
- Latest announcement page was created in March but wasn’t a priority.
- Results of Gerry McGoverns top task study showed “latest news” was high on the list, so we need to re-prioritize this
- People are also looking for the latest COVID-19 information
- Looking to move the Latest announcements page out of the Outbreak update to its own section
- Mockups are ready to go
Governance
- Still sorting out the governance.
- Who is going to own it after?
- Who is going to manage the list that goes into the filter?
- What content goes into the filter?
Mock-up of Announcements page:
- Features pushed to the bottom
- Filter news to COVID-19 announcements
- Only 2 filters - All institutions or PHAC
Initial instructions for how to add a COVID-19 tag are on the Metadata wiki page.
PP will go back and tag previous articles but going forward, teams have to do it for themselves.
Health & PHAC will be the content lead on this.
