3. Indigenous testing results - Ania Wasilewski (ISC)  / James Sinclair (ISC) / Scott Duncan (DTO)
  • Cases are still rising in Indigenous communities. They haven’t peaked. 1.7 million Indigenous people in Canada, so this research is needed to help that audience find content on Canada.ca.

Presentation includes results and suggestions from the baseline study. Only 5 participants so this is qualitative, not quantitative data.

Most participants struggled to find the answers. Baseline study highlights some improvements that can be made. Team is in the midst of prototyping ideas.

Interesting to note that participants approached most tasks through generic content and expected to find indigenous-specific details there. They did not first navigate to indigenous-specific pages and then look for task content.

Discussion around task based approaches vs audience segmentation for content.
