Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) is a community of public servants and Government of Canada external stakeholders dedicated to promoting the advancement of women in STEM fields. The group is administered in partnership with the interdepartmental Federal Steering Committee for Women in STEM, which includes representation from ISED, ECCC, Canadian Heritage, SSC, CRTC, CSA, DRDC, and TBS.​ The Committee provides executive level support for the planning, collaboration and/or the development of programs and practices designed to enable the recruitment and to help the career development of women in STEM.
