Web Priorities Notes - Aug 28, 2024
Updates
Canada.ca Re-Procurement Project: Request for Information overview
- We wanted to talk to stakeholders to understand the industry landscape
- To draft the RFI, we collaborated with other GC departments such as
- CDS, ESDC, Canadian Centre for Cyber Security etc…
- Three vendors responded to the RFI
- Our team has looked at the responses to develop the RFP
- We held some industry events to get insights and clarify some questions
- Vendors could still come into the RFP process even if they haven’t participated in RFI
- We will be doing a RFI “round two” and posting a draft RFP
- The whole process is to mitigate risk, that the vendors won’t be able to develop what we need
RFI Preliminary Results
- Vendors said they could:
- meet Official Languages requirement
- meet privacy requirements, and data will remain in Canada
- Some venders said they could:
- meet Cloud hosting requirements
- integrate into the GC Digital Ecosystem
Also: Vendors are aware of accessibility requirements
RFI Preliminary Results
- There are components outside the current Managed Web Service Technology that vendors think we should leverage
- We need to work on more convenient access
- Can harness AI for some tasks
- There are ways to personalize a visitor’s experience
NEXT STEPS
