Presentation deck: Starting/Expanding a Family

  • We want to discuss how to best engage with departments such as HC, CRA and IRCC to identity most relevant links
  • Looking for program experts
  • Context:
    • Focusing on expecting parents and parents, what information they need:
      • Benefit programs
      • Leave
      • Register child for SIN card
      • Access health benefits etc…
  • We’ve connected with several directorates in ESDC so far

    • Siloed programs and benefits
    • Information overload

    • No news is bad news - clients become anxious with no updates
    • No coordination of leave and benefits
  • How we’re addressing pain points:
    • Situation simulator
    • Visual timeline board
    • Customized checklist
      • This is especially where we need help from other GC departments
    • Client stories
    • Promotional materials
    • Feedback options
  • Verifying content with other government departments/SMEs - we need your validation
    • Health Canada
    • CRA
    • IRCC
