<p>Shaifa joined the Federal Government in August 2021 as the Assistant Deputy Minister and Chief Digital Officer at Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada. Previously she has led digital transformation in Public Sector and Not for Profit including establishing vision and strategic technology direction within a highly complex, political and multi stakeholder environment. Before joining the public sector, Shafia spent her career across multiple industries including Telecommunications, Banking and Consulting. Those invaluable experiences have given her a broad perspective on the critical elements required to drive transformation including focusing on transparency, empathy, building relationships and continuous learning. </p>

<p><strong>Sous-ministre adjointe</strong></p>
Shaifa a rejoint le gouvernement fédéral en août 2021 en tant que sous-ministre adjointe et dirigeante principale du numérique à Innovation, Sciences et Développement économique Canada. Auparavant, elle a dirigé la transformation numérique dans le secteur public et au sein d’organisations à but non lucratif, notamment en établissant une vision et une orientation technologique stratégique dans un environnement très complexe, politique et multipartite. Avant de rejoindre le secteur public, Shafia a passé sa carrière dans plusieurs secteurs, notamment les télécommunications, les banques et en consultations. Ces expériences inestimables lui ont donné une large perspective sur les éléments critiques nécessaires pour diriger la transformation, tout particulièrement en se concentrant sur la transparence, l'empathie, l'établissement de relations et l'apprentissage continu.
