Now available: 2022–23 annual report on federal regulatory management initiatives
On December 11, 2023, the President of the Treasury Board published the Annual Report for the 2022 to 2023 Fiscal Year: Federal Regulatory Management Initiatives.
This report provides statistics on the benefits and costs of federal regulations, the one-for-one rule, and the Administrative Burden Baseline. It also has information on regulatory modernization initiatives that encourage competitiveness, innovation and public engagement in the regulatory system.

Extended deadline: Supply Chain Regulatory Review consultation
On November 7, 2023, TBS launched the Supply Chain Regulatory Review consultation through the Let’s Talk Federal Regulations engagement platform. We are pleased to report that the submission deadline has been extended to February 5, 2024.
The Supply Chain Regulatory Review is examining where improvements to regulations or regulatory practices can support efficient and resilient supply chains in Canada. We are seeking input from interested organizations and individuals on regulatory issues pertaining to:
- critical minerals
- transportation
- border operations
- broader supply chain regulations and regulatory practices
