Digital Transformation Office (DTO) update

Updates were made to the Parliamentary Secretaries web content, if you have questions reach out to Principal Publisher (PP). Your department can decide if you want to list the Parliamentary Secretary on your institutional landing page (ILP).

Principal Publisher: If you see any mistakes such as spelling mistakes, let us know. The ILP template itself is managed by DTO, not PP.

DTO: Denial of service attacks happened on some provincial websites, some federal institutions were also targeted.

Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA)

On October 4, we will be launching a campaign to encourage commercial importers to register their businesses in the CARM portal. This would be of interest to our colleagues at ISED and potentially BDC. Very focused on the industry, so I don’t expect Canada.ca would want to also cross-promote.

Here are the links that will go live at some point October 4:

Privy Council Office (PCO)

PCO has started working on updating the media contacts page. Please check out the page and see if the contacts for your department need to be updated.

Also we’re working on a central website for housing. There’s a meeting next month, let us know if you’d like to be at the meeting.

NRCan

We will be test-adopting the subway navigation for our Greener Homes Initiative

Question from the floor:

Does anyone have / can anyone reshare any content retention guidelines when it comes to what content needs to stay on gc website, and what a removal process is?

Answer: Check this link from LAC: Communications Services (canada.ca)
