Implementation of Section 36: FAQ **NEW**

This document provides answers to frequently asked questions about the application of the new provision under section 36 of the modernized Official Languages Act which, starting June 20, 2025, gives all federal employees in bilingual regions the right to be supervised in the official language of their choice, regardless of the linguistic identification of their position.
