Dominic Rochon a été nommé sous-ministre au Secrétariat du Conseil du Trésor du Canada (SCT) et dirigeant principal de l'information du Canada le 12 février 2024. Avant de rejoindre le SCT, il était sous-ministre délégué à Transports Canada, après avoir été pendant trois ans sous-ministre adjoint principal au sein de la sécurité nationale et de la cybersécurité auprès de la Sécurité publique du Canada. Il a également occupé des postes de direction dans des agences centrales, notamment au Bureau du Conseil privé et au SCT, ainsi qu'au Centre de la sécurité des télécommunications. Dominic possède une vaste expérience en matière de politique stratégique, de planification stratégique, de communication stratégique et à gérer une gamme de défis opérationnels au sein du gouvernement du Canada

Son mandat consiste à assurer le leadership au sein du gouvernement en matière de gouvernance et d'intégration de l'information et des données, de modernisation de la protection de la vie privée et de services et programmes numériques fondés sur les données. Avant cette nomination, M. Burt était l'autorité fonctionnelle pour la gouvernance des données et la capacité d'analyse du ministère de la Défense nationale et des Forces armées canadiennes (MDN/FAC). Il a favorisé l'adoption et la maturité de l'analytique dans l'ensemble du MDN/FAC et a dirigé l'initiative à l'échelle du ministère visant à mettre en place l'analytique et la gouvernance des données.
