    <p>The Shared Services Canada (SSC) Architecture Framework Advisory Committee (AFAC) provides strategic advice and recommendations in support of SSC’s mandate and the Government of Canada’s (GC) associated objectives.</p>

  <h2>Mandate</h2>

  <p>AFAC supports SSC’s mandate and the GC’s digital transformation initiatives by serving as a forum for public-private sector consultation on enterprise architecture. SSC will identify or review business approaches through a strategic lens with industry subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop or refine proposed directions for mid to long-term planning (e.g., three- to ten-year planning cycles).</p>

  <h2>Membership</h2>

  <p>The membership is composed of individuals and organizations from the public and private sectors with expertise in information and communications technology (ICT).</p>

  <p>AFAC meetings are led by the following:</p>
  <ul>
    <li>Chair – Chief Technology Officer (CTO), SSC</li>
    <li>Co-chair – CTO for the Government of Canada, Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat</li>
  </ul>

  <p>AFAC membership includes the below ICT-sector associations (and memberships thereof):</p>
  <ul>
    <li>Canadian Business Information Technology Network (CABiNET)</li>
    <li>Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATA)</li>
    <li>Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATA)</li>
    <li>Information Technology Association of Canada (ITAC)</li>
    <li>Invest Ottawa</li>
  </ul>

  <p>The ex-officio members are:</p>
  <ul>
    <li>Chied Information Officers of other Government of Canada departments</li>

  </ul>

  <p>AFAC will request from the ICT-sector associations nominations of companies with relevant expertise in topics of interest to the committee. Each member association will have the opportunity to nominate one to two subject matter experts to participate in discussions pertaining to their areas of expertise.</p>

  <p>SSC reserves the right to extend invitations to private-sector and non-governmental organizations with relevant expertise, as well as the option to adjust or supplement the list of individuals and organizations participating in meetings to ensure that the required level of expertise is available. SSC staff with responsibilities or expertise related to topics being addressed in AFAC or related working-group meetings will be invited to participate on an as-needed basis.</p>

  <h2>Meetings and Agenda</h2>

  <p>AFAC meets quarterly or, as required, at the call of the Chair. Agendas vary depending on the topics of discussion. AFAC will ensure that the necessary degree of expertise will be shared during consultations, while also limiting the number of participants to a manageable size, to encourage active participation and to maximize the value of the time allocated to each agenda item.</p>

  <h2>Secretariat Support</h2>

  <p>The Engagement Secretariat within PGET, PVR will manage logistics and provide secretariat services. Meeting materials will be provided a minimum of one week prior to any scheduled meetings. Teleconference services will be provided for attendees participating remotely.</p>
  <p>The secretariat will prepare minutes for each meeting and circulate them internally within SSC. Comments made during meetings will not be attributed to individuals or organizations.</p>
