Updates
Bell Let’s Talk Day
A Heads of Communications message went out on Friday. It mentioned the MOU for Bell Let’s Talk Day. There are over 4,000 search results in Canada.ca for Bell Let’s Talk so probably some opportunity for ROT.
- Action: departments please take a look at your content to see if there are pages that can come down.
Federal Provincial Territorial working group
FPT is tomorrow. Topic is taxonomy and tagging.
Web Executive Board
There’s a Web Executive Board meeting this week. Agenda:
- Footer guidance and implementation
- Update on GC task success survey with DFO
- PCO led trust research on digital channels
Clarification about 404/403 errors in news releases
Principal Publisher has reached out to approximately 40 departments. Close to 400 pages are exposing authors of pages to the public so please go in and correct broken urls. Also a reminder to please check your urls once you make news products live so you don’t have author or preview in the url.
If you need help please reach out to the news team at Principal Publisher:
Roundtable
Treasury Board
Launched usability testing on GCConnex this morning for a tool called Digital Privacy Playbook.
UX Repository
It would be nice to have one spot for all user experience research done in the government so we aren’t overlapping. CIOB has expressed interest in getting involved. CDS had started a Research Community of Practice.
This idea can be discussed further on the GC Design Slack channel.
A/B Testing and Personalization
The objective of the working group is to have a space where institutions can share success stories, lessons learned, and strategies about A/B testing and personalization activities conducted on Canada.ca and non-Canada.ca sites. This working group is chaired by representatives from the Analytics Services team at Principal Publisher.
A/B Testing and Personalization Working Group for Adobe Target
Public Safety
Public Safety is continuing work on Firearms Compensation Program (BuyBack) but no publishing/announcement date yet.
