Page analytics tool
Presentation (Nicolas Pjontek)
Ideal for communicators or web advisors who need quick statistics.
Last week we released version 2 of the tool. Now you can customize the date range. It works for any page using Adobe Analytics, not just Canada.ca pages.
This helps us increase our data transparency. It lets you get data at the click of a button.
You can access the page analytics tool from this page canada.ca/analytics or go to https://performance.alpha.canada.ca/
It breaks the analytics down by several different categories.
There is a link on the page to give feedback. Please don’t hesitate to reach out and give feedback.
This is public, any member of the public or media can use this.
This should also work for intranets using Adobe Analytics. If it doesn’t then please reach out and we’ll make sure to add it to the list.
Question: Is Google Analytics data not displayed for non-canada.ca pages because of a limitation on Google's end or is it a feature that is yet to be developed for this internal tool?
Answer: It's because each department has their own independent Google account to pull the search terms from. Principal Publisher does not necessarily have access to other department accounts.
