PCO update:

Update on Caretaker Convention:

  • Caretaker period extends past the conclusion of the election period and it lasts until the ministers are sworn in after the election
  • Once ministers are sworn in, things will not be status quo. New ministers must be adequately briefed to ensure a smooth transition to business as usual.

This timeline typically takes about 3 to 4 weeks, although exact timing is not confirmed. Everyone should stay tuned for updates and be prepared for a transition period regardless of election results.

Please submit May promos on time. May is Asian Heritage Month. There are already several promotions related to this online.

Adobe and Principal Publisher met and reviewed clicktracking. There is information posted about that on GCXchange. (This topic is also on the GCWP forward agenda for May).

DTO

A heads of communications request was sent to departments to post an alert on institutional landing pages regarding the Bouchard class action.

This alert should:

  • Be posted no earlier than 12 noon EST on April 24, 2025
  • Will remain up for at least 30 calendar days (teams will be notified if timeline changes)
  • Contain the exact text that has been shared with heads of communications
