To celebrate Official Languages Day, the Council of the Network of Official Languages and Champions and the Canada School of Public Service, in partnership with the Linguistic Duality Network and other partners, is organizing a timely event open to the public on September 8, 2022, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. (ET). Every year, we pay tribute to Canada's rich linguistic heritage on Official Languages Day (formerly known as Linguistic Duality Day). This year's event highlights the importance of Canada's official languages in shaping society's identity and building bridges to the wider world. It explores how languages are a window on diverse realities and opportunities, enabling us to discover and acquire new knowledge. Participants will discover little-known Canadian realities, in a spirit of sharing and respect aimed at developing a sense of belonging and commitment.
